Spark of Life: A Novel of Resistance
SPARK OF LIFE
509 is a political prisoner in a German concentration camp. For ten years, he has persevered in the most hellish conditions. Deathly weak, he still has his wits about him and he senses that the end of the war is near. If he and the other living corpses in his barracks can hold on for liberation--or force their own--then their suffering will not have been in vain.
Now the SS who run the camp are ratcheting up the terror. But their expectations are jaded and their defenses are down. It is possible that the courageous, yet terribly weak prisoners have just enough left in them to resist. And if they die fighting, they will die on their own terms, cheating the Nazis out of their devil's contract.

You may wonder why? Here is my story:
At age of 14 I got mixed up with wrong crowd and by the age of 16 I was left to face the aftermath facts of my wrong decisions. Day in and day out only books gave me solace. Until I read this book... and it gave me courage and strength.If those people living in hell were ablet to find hope and live one more day so would I. Spark of Life gave me a new perspective and helped me to see beyond my self pity and misery. For where there is hope there is life. Thank you Remarque for helping me to get through my hell!
That is why after 24 years is still on top of my book list!

Hello and welcome to English book library + Project!
I am thrilled and why not apprehensive! This is going to be awesome!
So, me and my sister came up with the idea of having a English book corner in Korca Albania. It is easy said than done, but there is no such thing as impossible and unreachable.
Who are we?
We are Diana and Emy two sisters living far apart but join at the same desire and project and this is pur plea:
HELP ALBANIA’S KIDS
Let’s face it. Learning English is a big key to success in today’s fast-paced world. English helps you fly! My Albanian sister and I have an idea: An English Book Corner for the children of Albania!
Our goal is to have 500 books by September 2016. We LOVE books and learning and the enjoyment of reading. And we want Albanian kids to have wider access to good books. Especially books in English.
We need money! Actually only enough to purchase some books to get started.
We need donations of good quality books (they don’t have to be new! Just in pretty good shape.).
Write us with your ideas, your donations, and with some books! Thanks! The children of Korca, Albania, will fly with your help!
